Qualifications
- Must be detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality

- Minimum of 3 years of related machining experience
- Basic knowledge of machine shop math (algebra, trigonometry, and geometry)
- Reading all programs and be able to identify and change all program aspects according to dimensional changes as needed
- Ability to write, edit and read complex programs with a variety of features, specifications, including sub-programs, taper adjustments, cutter comp, and circle interpolate
- Proficient knowledge of surface footage of material, speeds and feeds including the ability to apply speeds and feeds knowledge to specialty material
- Ability to make changes needed to help efficiently produce quality parts
- Proficient knowledge of inert identification and appropriate application and know grades, geometry, uses, identification numbers, etc
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints correctly: 1) Identify third angle from first angle projection, 2) Identify machining from fabricating, and 3) Identify all tolerances, datum’s, surface finishes, metric and standard, section views call outs, details, and notes
- Ability to read measuring equipment along with reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T capabilities
- General knowledge of the machinist’s handbook and other machining references
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

RESPONSIBILITIES
- General knowledge of the machinist’s handbook and other machining references.
Responsibilities - Skilled and detail-oriented machinist who is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components predominately from stainless steel, some engineered plastics, and other metals for production machinery
- Experience in reading blueprints, using measuring instruments, and following safety and quality standards in a production environment
- Ability to set up and operate Mazak, CNC, Mill machines and perform program edits, using Mazatrol programming language
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Write accurate, detailed set-up sheets and notes in programs, as required
- Adjust machines and tooling to maintain part accuracy and quality
- Demonstrate knowledge of tooling and insert specifications and be able to accurately recognize and differentiate tooling by sight
- Fabrication of tooling, as needed, for production and creation of prints that specify what types of tooling are needed including size, shape, and material
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Responsible for achieving a quality level of 0 non-conformance occurrences per year
- Communicate with machine partner effectively
- Must be willing/able to work overtime to complete project and meet scheduling deadlines
