Precision CNC Programmer–Machinist

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a respected manufacturer to add a seasoned machinist to their team in Irwin, PA. Picture your workday: you review a detailed drawing, load tooling into a 3–4 axis VMC, verify offsets, post G-Code, and fine‑tune feeds and speeds. Later, you jump to a 2–4 axis lathe, hold tight tolerances with precision measurement tools, and collaborate with your supervisor to keep production on schedule—all while maintaining a safe, orderly work area.

• Compensation: $28.00–$35.00 per hour
• Schedule: Multiple shifts available
• Location: Irwin, PA

What You’ll Do

• Decode blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan each job accurately.
• Set up and dial in CNC and manual equipment (lathes, mills, grinders, drills).
• Program, calibrate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to achieve precise dimensions.
• Machine metal and plastic components to spec using best‑practice machining methods.
• Monitor cycle performance; adjust tooling, offsets, and parameters for quality output.
• Inspect parts to confirm conformance; make corrections as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Partner with teammates and leadership to improve processes and hit production targets.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

What You Bring

• Hands‑on experience as a machinist operating both CNC and conventional machinery.
• Fluency in reading blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of CNC programming and troubleshooting.
• Solid grasp of machining theory, tooling selection, and precision metrology.
• Strong math aptitude for complex shop calculations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a quality‑first mindset.
• Ability to lift materials and operate machines for extended periods.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificates or vocational training are a plus.
